Manufacturing Technician – Mon–Fri

Location: Austin, TX

Pay: $24.00 – $33.00 / hour (Based on experience)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Are you an experienced hands-on technician skilled in mechanical assembly, wiring, and technical troubleshooting? Openwork is currently hiring multiple Technicians to join a premier manufacturing team in Austin, TX, specializing in industrial pumps and vacuum systems.

This role offers a dynamic mix of shop assembly and equipment maintenance with a highly competitive pay rate and consistent day shift hours.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Assembly & Fabrication: Performing mechanical builds, wiring, cable harness fabrication, and connecting battery systems according to technical schematics.

• Maintenance & Service: Conducting preventive maintenance, inspecting and replacing consumable components

• Troubleshooting: Identifying and resolving mechanical and electrical issues during production and maintenance cycles.

• Safety & Standards: Utilizing PPE, strictly adhering to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–6+ years of hands-on technical experience (manufacturing, assembly, or field service background)

• Strong proficiency with hand tools, power tools, crimping, and harness building

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret complex schematics, wiring diagrams, and build documentation

• Comfort working in shop production environments 

• Sharp attention to detail, strong safety mindset (PPE/LOTO), and the ability to work independently or with engineering teams
