Openwork is currently assisting a local client in search to fill Retail Sales Clerk positions in the Southeast area of Houston. The sales clerk is responsible for packing shelves, ringing up items for customers and keeping track of inventory. To be successful as a Retail Sales Clerk you must have excellent interpersonal skills, patients and be professional with customers at all times.

Schedule: 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities for a Retail Sales Clerk job include:

• Engage and connect with customers by providing excellent customer service
• Maintaining an awareness of all product knowledge information, POS instructions, merchandise promotions and advertisements
• Assisting with replenishing merchandise, store layout, recovery, general housekeeping of the store along with monitoring and maintenance of floor stock and fitting room areas
• Data entry

Qualifications:

• 1 + years of relevant job experience 
• Comfortable around and Moderate to advanced knowledge of the industry (including, but not limited to firearms, ammunition, firearm accessories, safety gear, optics, etc.)
• Demonstrate the ability to engage customers with a positive and friendly attitude
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent attendance and punctuality
• Physical Requirements (Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, carry and lift up to 40 lbs)
• Have a high school diploma/GED or equivalent education
