DIGITAL PRINTING OPERATOR

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a large-format printing company specializing in fleet graphics for trailers, buses, and other vehicles, as well as petroleum graphics used throughout fuel-station environments.

We are seeking a Digital Printing Operator to produce high-quality graphics on self-adhesive vinyl and similar materials using super-wide-format printing equipment.

The strongest candidates will have hands-on experience printing vehicle or fleet graphics. Direct experience operating super-wide-format printers is preferred but not required for candidates with strong vehicle-graphics printing experience, as training on the equipment can be provided.

Please note that experience limited to printing documents does not meet the production requirements of this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Import, review, and print production files for large-format fleet, vehicle, and petroleum graphics.
• Operate super-wide-format digital printers and related production equipment safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload large rolls of self-adhesive vinyl and similar printing materials.
• Confirm file size, resolution, color profiles, layout, and job specifications before beginning production.
• Monitor print quality and inspect finished materials for color consistency, accuracy, and defects.
• Manage print queues and prioritize jobs according to deadlines and production needs.
• Perform general operator-level maintenance, routine cleaning, and basic printer troubleshooting.
• Track material usage, minimize waste, and report low inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Work with design, sales, and production team members to resolve file or job-specification questions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Hands-on experience in large-format graphics production, vehicle or fleet graphics printing, or a closely related sign-production environment.
• Knowledge of self-adhesive vinyl, roll media, and large-format printing processes.
• Ability to import and prepare print files and identify basic file, layout, or output issues.
• Strong attention to detail, color accuracy, craftsmanship, and production quality.
• Ability to lift and handle rolls or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation.
• Availability to work overtime when requested.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience operating super-wide-format, roll-to-roll, or flatbed digital printers.
• Experience producing fleet graphics, vehicle wraps, trailer graphics, bus graphics, or petroleum graphics.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar graphics software.
• Familiarity with RIP software such as ONYX or Fiery.
• Experience with routine printer calibration, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Previous experience working in a sign shop, graphics-production company, or similar production environment.
